January Favourites

For 2017, I decided to start doing some monthly staples on my blog. For the final post of each month I will do a Favourites, reviewing some of my favourite things from the past 30 days. This will be anything and everything from books and beauty, to food or TV shows.

So, for January, I have several things I want to talk about.

Baylis and Harding Pink Peppermint Candy Swirl Body Butter

I was gifted the Baylis and Harding Sweet Temptations Toy Soldier set from my brother for Christmas this year and immediately fell in love with the candy cane scent of this body butter. You do need to use a fair bit, but the pot is huge and will easily last 3 to 4 months. It glides onto the skin and sinks in within about 15 minutes, leaving your skin incredibly soft and feeling nourished. The softness lasts for a couple of days as well, so you really do get your money’s worth out of this one.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Pro HD Powder Contour Palette

I’ve done a whole review on this little gem, so I won’t go into much detail. This is an amazing collection of contouring colours for those of us with fair skin and for the price, it’s an absolute steal!

B. Flat Contour Brush

Another product I’ve already talked about this month, this contour brush is brilliant for obtaining those perfectly chiseled cheekbones. It’s also vegan and a great addition to anyone’s makeup brush collection.

The Final Girls (2015)

A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom’s most famous movie. Reunited, the women must fight off the film’s maniacal killer – IMDB

This film deserves a lot more credit than it received. It’s a clever, heartfelt portrayal of a young grieving woman who just wants to remain close to her mother – whilst being hunted down by a Jason-esque murderer in the 1980s. The Final Girls is hilarious and honestly one of the best comedies to come out of Hollywood in the last 10 years.
